I like how halfway through this cold open, which is less than 5 minutes, someone's signaling to start the show yet years later when there are 12 TO 13 MINUTE COLD OPENS and yet no one even once complains

Wow, how societal standards change one's perception. At the time, Belushi was viewed as being very fat. Now, he just looks a bit chubby...

57 here, and my mom let me stay up to watch starting with the 1st Buck Henry show (I overheard it while she fell asleep after the news), but my dad and stepmom didn't let us stay up until the Steve Martin/Blues Brothers one - alternate weekend visits post-divorce meant every other weekend for me in that time. Sneaking-wise, the night the 1st Eric Idle show repeated, my step-sister snuck here little b&w TV into our room, but only got so far before getting caught.

You can really see how Monty Python influenced the first few years of SNL. Apparently, Lorne Michaels was a fan of the show.

The fastest typed response to a list of demands ever. Actors are smart... until they are given a written script to read. Then - like Ron Burgandy - they will read anything that's put in front of them lol.

                                                                    The Cisco Kid
